Q: Is daily shampooing recommended even for curly hair?

A: This is the only exception to the general guidance to shampoo daily. For extremely curly hair, we have found that shampooing less frequently is better. On days that you do not shampoo, wet your hair in the shower, but use only conditioner. Then, comb through and blot dry with a paper towel, to remove moisture, lock in the curl, and eliminate frizz Avoid using a terry-cloth towel; toweling your hair dry removes all moisture, which may cause frizz.
